Registered Nurse with over 25 years of clinical experience in perioperative and perianesthesia nursing, including roles as Director of Surgical Services and Clinical Manager overseeing dental anesthesia programs. I have served as a Legal Nurse Consultant for over 15 years, providing medical record review, standard of care analysis, medical chronologies, and expert reports for plaintiff and defence counsel across Canada. My specialty areas include perioperative nursing, PeriAnesthesia nursing, dental anesthesia, post-operative complications, and post-anesthesia complications. I am a contributing author to the NAPANc Standards of Practice (4th and 5th editions), the national standards against which PeriAnesthesia nursing care is evaluated in litigation. I currently serve as President of the PeriAnesthesia Nurses Association of British Columbia and as Canadian Representative on the ICPAN Global Advisory Council.
