Biographical Info

Emergency and acute surgical care, with 25+ years of clinical experience reviewing, documenting, and communicating complex patient findings. Areas of particular interest include personal injury, motor vehicle accident cases, and long-term care — the latter informed by my current role as a Personal Support Worker (PSW) Instructor, which includes hands-on instruction within a long-term care home. This gives me firsthand, current familiarity with LTC standards of care, staffing practices, and documentation requirements.

Alongside my clinical background, I bring direct experience within the legal and justice system as a qualified mediator with Community Conflict Resolution Services (CCRS) Halton, where I managed case files and produced case documentation, and as a Youth Justice Committee Member and teacher within the John Howard Society’s Bail Verification and Direct Accountability program. I was approved by the Ministry of the Attorney General, and sworn in by the Crown Attorney. This combination of strong clinical case management, detailed medical documentation, and comfort working within legal processes feels like a natural fit for legal nurse consulting work.
